Active Working Groups

CAARA has two active working groups which discuss issues and undertake projects relating to their areas of interest.

The Australasian Digital Recordkeeping Initiative (ADRI) working group collaborates on the development, articulation and implementation of a common set of strategies for enabling the making, keeping and using of the digital records of governments. The primary objective is to pool resources and expertise to find better ways to ensure that digital records are preserved and made accessible for the future. ADRI promotes a single Australasian approach to digital public recordkeeping.

The Standards for Public Access Working Group provides a forum for collaboration across jurisdictions to promote a common approach to the provision of access to public records.  This includes discussion of common issues, research into new initiatives, and policy development.

Non-Current Working Groups

CAARA has two non-current working groups.

These groups are:

Contractor Records Working Group ; and

Current Records Issues Working Group
